Mohiuddin Ahmed joins Youth and Sports Ministry as Secy

Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed has joined the Ministry of Youth and Sports as secretary. Earlier, he was serving as additional secretary (planning and development) in the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs.
Mohiuddin Ahmed was promoted and posted as Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by a notification issued by the order of the President, signed by Sheikh Shamsul Arefin, the senior assistant secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, on December 31.
After joining as Secretary of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohiuddin Ahmed paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait at Dhanmondi no 32 in the capital.
Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed joined government service on 1 April 1993 as an officer of the 11th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) administration cadre. In his long career, he has held important responsibilities in field administration and various government ministries. He has also successfully served as the Director (Training) of Bangladesh Sports Education Institute under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Mohiuddin Ahmed holds the Master’s degree in Financial Management from the University of Ulster. He obtained his PhD degree in Micro Credit Management from Rajshahi University in 2007. During his working life, he received advanced training in various subjects at home and abroad.
