Court orders police to confiscate Tarique, Zubaida`s assets

A court in Dhaka has ordered the authority concerned to confiscate the assets of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman in a corruption case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Asaduzzaman passed the order on Thursday (January 5).

The court also directed the officer-in-charge of Cantonment Police Station to submit a progress report on the implementation of the order by January 19.

Earlier, the court had issued arrest warrants against the duo after accepting the charges against them on November 1 last year.
