Inward remittance falls in February

Bangladesh received 156.12 crore US dollar inward remittances in February in the current fiscal year. The remittance flow has increased continuously for several months but this time it has dropped.
However, in the first 8 months of the current financial year, the country received more remittances than the same period of the previous year.
The country received Tk195.88 crore in January, according to central bank data published Wednesday (1 March).
The total remittance inflow in the current financial year (July-February) stands at $14.01 billion. It was $13.43 billion during the same period of the last financial year.
