Explosion in Gulistan building, 15 killed

An explosion has occurred at a building in Gulistan in the capital, leaving 15 people killed and many others injured.

The incident took place after 5:00 pm on Tuesday (March 7). Eleven units of fire service are working to rescue the casualties.

Brigadier General Md Nazmul Haque, director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) confirmed the matter.

Khaleda Yeasmin, duty of officer of Fire Service Headquarters also confirmed the matter to risingbd.

She said, “The explosion at the building adjacent to BRTC bus counter at Phulbaria in Gulistan. Eleven units of Fire Service are working to rescue the casualties.”

It was learned that 15 of the injured of Gulistan explosion have died after being taken to DMCH.

Locals said there was a loud explosion in that area. There were many passengers present there. They got panicked and ran to a safe destination.
