Tk11.25cr looted from DBBL armoured car

Robbers allegedly have looted about Tk11.25 crore in cash of Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) from a vehicle that was on its way to refill ATMs in Uttara in the capital.
The incident took place around 7:30 am on Thursday (March 9).
Police sources said a gang of armed robbers robbed the vehicle of DBBL in Bridge 11 area adjacent to Uttara sector number 16.
Confirming the matter, Turag police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maudud Hawlader said that a security agency transporting the money for Dutch Bangla Bank, was travelling with the money when robbers attacked it and drove away the armoured car from near Turag police station.
Police drive is underway to recover the money, OC added.
