US investment will continue in Bangladesh: Peter Haas

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas has said the United States is the largest source of foreign direct investment in Bangladesh and it will continue in future.

The US companies are very much keen to invest in Bangladesh, but the country’s regulatory body needs to be strong, he said.

Peter Haas said this while inspecting the site of 584 MW GAS Based Combined Cycle Power PLANT of Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited (UMPL) in Sonargaon of Narayanganj on Wednesday (March 15).
