First train takes to Padma Bridge

For the first time, Bangladesh Railway today (April 4) ran the train on the newly constructed Bhanga-Mawa rail line through the Padma Bridge.
The people of Padma River banks are excited with the news of the country's modern rail network through the Bridge.
The train left Bhanga Station at 1:21pm. The train entered the lower deck of the bridge at 30 kilometers per hour speed at 2:43pm.
Earlier, Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan inaugurated the trial train.
Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Awami League publicity and publication Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon, along with several members of the parliament, railway ministry, project and government officials, local public representatives took part in the journey.
