People cannot vote if polls held under AL: BNP tells EU mission

BNP has told the election exploratory mission of the European Union (EU) that people cannot cast their votes if polls are held under the Awami League government.
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said this to journalists after a meeting with the EU team at the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office on Saturday.
“BNP told the EU team during the meeting that the people of the country will not be able to vote if the 12th parliamentary elections are held under the Awami League government”, he said.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Organising Secretary Shama Obayed, Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP Chairperson's adviser Ismail Zabihullah, and Human Rights Affairs Secretary Asaduzzaman Asad were present at the meeting.
