Dhaka`s rail link with other parts resumed after 5 hours

Dhaka's rail connection with the rest of the country resumed after nearly five hours as temporary workers under Bangladesh Railway withdrew their blockade on rail tracks.
The blockade was withdrawn around 3:00 pm on Sunday (July 16).
Earlier, the workers under the banner of 'Bangladesh Railway Temporary Workers' put barricade on the rail tracks at FDC Railgate area of Karwan Bazar in the capital around 10:00 am. Meanwhile, they stopped the movement of Titas commuter train.
Railways' Additional Director General (DG) Sardar Shahadat Ali said the movements of a total of 26 trains were stopped in several stations due to the strike. Later, the protesters withdrew their strike around 2:30 pm.
