Dhaka Central Jail inmate dies in DMCH

An inmate of Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday (July 26) morning.

The deceased was identified as Jahir Uddin Babor, 56.

According to prison guard Al Amin, Babor suddenly fell ill this morning.

Later, on the instructions of the jail authorities, the prison guards took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead around 9 am.

Confirming the matter, DMCH Police Outpost in-charge inspector Md Bachchu Mia said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
