US Congress delegation due in Dhaka

A delegation from the US Congress will visit Bangladesh on a four-day visit.
The delegation is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Saturday (August 12).
Congressman Ed Case of Hawaii from the Democratic Party and congressman Rich McCormick of Georgia from the Republican Party will lead the delegation.
Diplomatic sources said the US congressional delegation is mainly intended to see the overall situation of the Rohingya camps and will meet Refugee Relief and Repatriation (RRRC) at the Rohingya camp and UN-affiliated agencies on August 13.
Besides, they are scheduled to meet with foreign minister AK Abdul Momen.
The sources said the two congressmen will engage in separate discussions with Awami League, BNP, and Jatiya Party, as well as civil society stakeholders.
