21 more die from dengue

21 more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Wednesday (September 20), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 867.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 3,015 new dengue patients were hospitalised.

A total of 10,263 dengue patients are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

“During the period, 857 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 2,174 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital,” the DGHS daily statement added.
