Anyone trying to spread rumors won’t spared: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has warned that anyone who will spread rumors during the Durga Puja will not be spared.

The home boss came up with the warning when he was exchanging greetings at Dhakeshwari National Temple in Old Dhaka on Friday (October 20) morning, marking the Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Bengali Hindu community.

“Our security forces have kept eyes on all sights. With the advent of digital Bangladesh, trend of spreading rumours has increased in the cyber world. This is why our police has launched a cyber unit. As a result, we are quickly identifying people spreading rumours”, he said.

He said those who do not follow the ideals of Bangladesh are the ones who bring about the issue of communal disharmony and all ways try to distort the country’s image.
