No threat of sabotage on Oct 28: DB Chief

Harun-Or-Rashid, the chief of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that there is no threat of sabotage on October 28 centering BNP rally.

The DB Chief said this while address a press conference at DMP media center in the capital on Sunday (October 22).

He said political meetings, assembly programs are democratic rights. But many people are committing violence, arson and vandalism under the banner of these programs. The law enforcers are kept alert so that no one can take advantage of violence.

Harun-Or-Rashid also said BNP has called a grand rally in Dhaka on October 28. So, they will have to apply appropriately for the permission. If the authorities especially the Commissioner of Police permit them, then they can hold the rally.
