Citizens of all religions have equal rights: Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said, “Citizens of all religions have equal rights in Bangladesh. We liberated Bangladesh through people of all communities fighting side by side. We will definitely succeed in all fields if everyone is together”

He said these while visiting the Puja mandop at the Kemal Ataturk Park in Banani of the capital on Monday (October 23) evening.

“We are happy because we have defeated the evil people of the society. Not only during puja, but throughout the year we have to be vigilant so that these people never arise again,” the foreign minister said.

He also expressed hope that it would be possible to establish a non-communal economy in Bangladesh with the cooperation of all.
