Mohakhali’s Khawaja Tower catches fire

A fire broke out at Khawaja Tower in the capital’s Mohakhali area on Thursday afternoon.

Being informed, 11 units of fire service rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, said the fire originated at 4:19pm on the 12th floor of the 14-storey building.  

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
