Gold price hits record high in history

The price of gold has hit Tk 1,02,876 per bhori, the highest in the history of Bangladesh.

A press release of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) said this on Thursday.

According to the press release, the price of 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,333.
The new rate will be effective from Friday.

In the release, Bajus stated that the adjustment came as a result of a price increase in the local bullion market.
