1,27,198 can perform hajj in 2024, cost reduced

A total of 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh can perform hajj in 2024, like the previous year.

The government has lowered the coast by Tk 92,450. As a result, each pilgrim will be required to pay Tk 5,78,840 for the general package and Tk 9,36,320 for the special package.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan announced the hajj package at a press briefing held at the Secretariat on Thursday.

According to the announcement, 10,198 pilgrims will perform hajj in 2024 under the government management and 1,17,000 under the private management.

In 2023, the government set Tk 6,71,290 as the minimum cost for hajj under government management and Tk 6,60,890 as minimum under the private management.
