PM goes to Saudi Arabia on Nov 5

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Saudi Arabia on November 5 to attend the International Conference on Women in Islam.

Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Saudi government will organize the conference to be held in Jeddah from November 6 to 8.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen told a press conference on Thursday.

The conference aims to clarify women’s rights and responsibilities in Islam, especially women’s rights to education and work as per the teachings of Islam, with broad participation from scholars of the Islamic Ummah.

She is expected to meet with the secretary general of the OIC, vice president of Iran and the Saudi foreign minister, he said.She will also perform Umrah. The Prime Minister will leave Saudi Arabia for home on November 7.
