Govt invites foreign observers to monitor polls

The government has invited international observers and media persons to observe the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The foreign ministry sent letters to the foreign missions stationed in Dhaka on Wednesday (November 1).

According to the letters, the national elections of Bangladesh will be held at the beginning of next year in January. In view of that, international observers and foreign media persons are being invited on behalf of the Election Commission Secretariat.

International observers and foreign media persons interested in monitoring the election are requested to apply.

The Election Commission wants foreign observers and media personnel to monitor the election as well as local observers and media personnel.

The Election Commission of Bangladesh is committed to conducting free, fair, peaceful and acceptable elections.
