`Himu threated four times to commit suicide`

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a man named Mohammad Ziauddin Rufi alias Urfi Zia in connection with the death of popular television actress Humaira Himu.

Ziauddin Rufi has informed the RAB that Himu threated four times to commit suicide.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of RAB, said this at a press conference at its media centre in the capital’s Karwan Bazar on Tuesday (October 3).

Ziauddin Rufi has been arrested in a case filed by Himu’s aunty with Uttara West Thana.

In interrogation, Ziauddin Rufi said he married Himu’s cousin in 2014 but they were divorced due to family problem.  After that, he continued contact with Himu and used to come in Himu’s flat regularly, said the RAB official.

Commander Khondker Al Moin said both Zia and Himu used to get involved in altercation and quarrel on different issues. Besides, Himu wasted a large amount of money being addicted to BIGO Live App over the last two to three years. They had frequent altercations over these issues.
