By-polls to Brahmanbaria-2, Lakshmipur-3 underway

Voting for the Brahmanbaria-2, Lakshmipur-3 by-elections began this morning (November 5).

The voting started at 8:00 am and will continue till 4:00 pm without any break.

The law enforcers are working in the voting area to keep the polling environment fair and smooth. Along with the RAB, Police, and the Executive Magistrates are patrolling.

A total of 4,10,072 voters in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency are expected to exercise their voting rights in the by-polls.

Earlier, on October 1, the parliament secretariat declared the two seats vacant, following the deaths of Lakshmipur-3 lawmaker AKM Shajahan Kamal and Brahmanbaria-2 lawmaker Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan.
