Experimental train runs on Chattogram-Cox`s Bazar route

The pre-trial run on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar rail line began as the first train left Chittagong Railway station at 9:00am towards Cox's Bazar on Sunday (5 November).

The train has a special team from the Railway Inspection Department. They will visit and monitor the railway line and various stations from Dohazari to Cox's Bazar. The train is scheduled to reach Cox's Bazar station at 5 pm.

Eastern Railway's General Manager Nazmul Islam said train to Cox's Bazar is no longer a dream. This is now reality. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Dohazari-Cox’s Bazar train formally on November 11.

The train is driven by Locomaster Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman and Assistant Locomaster Rukhn Mia. The train is carrying senior officials of various departments of the Eastern Railway.
