Dengue death toll crosses 1400

15 more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Sunday (November 5), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 1,408.

According to a statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 2,103 new dengue patients were hospitalized over the period.

Of the new cases, 433 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka and 1,678 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals outside Dhaka.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 2,79,904, the statement said, adding: “This year, some 2,71,792 patients were released from different hospitals out of the total patients.”
