Four buses torched in capital

Four buses were torched in the capital during the countrywide blockade programme called by BNP-Jamaat and its allied parties on Sunday.

Two police members and one Ansar member were injured in a cocktail explosion.

Police also arrested a former JCD member named Gazi Md Hasan, 30.

Miscreants set a bus of Airport-Bangabandhu-Avenue Paribahan on fire in the capital’s Banglamotor on Sunday evening.

Confirming the matter, Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Ershad Hossain said that fire service personnel rushed to the spot after they received the information and brought the fire under control.
One received burn injury after miscreants set fire to a bus in Meradia.

A bus of the Dhaka University was torched around 3:34pm in front of Bangla College and a bus of Shekhor Paribahan was torched around 7:00pm.
