Shamsuzzaman Dudu placed on 3-day remand

A Dhaka court has granted a three-day remand to BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu in a case filed for allegedly vandalizing the chief justice’s residence and carrying out sabotage.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin passed the order on Monday (November 6) after police produced Dudu before the court and pleaded to place him on five-day remand.
Earlier, BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu was picked up by a group of 15-20 plainclothesmen, identifying themselves as Detective Branch (DB) of police, from a house in Dhaka’s Cantonment area on Sunday night (November 5).
