110 arson incidents reported in 10 days

A total of 110 arson incidents were reported across the country in last 10 days.

A press release of the Fire Service and Civil Defence disclosed this on Monday.

According to the press release, a total of 110 arson incidents were reported from October 28 to the evening of November 6.

A total of 21 arson incidents were reported across Bangladesh from 4:00 am on Sunday (November 5) to 6:00 pm on Monday (November 6). Of these, 16 incidents of arson were reported in Dhaka division, four in Chattogram division and one in Rajshahi. 12 arson attacks were reported in Dhaka city, it said.

A total of 15 buses, two trucks, one private car, one CNG-run auto-rickshaw, and one human hauler were torched during this period.

41 fire engines with 242 firefighters were engaged to extinguish the blazes.
