Staff Correspondent: A school teacher in Magura did not enjoy vacation or took any leave from his work station in his long career of 36 years.
That seems unbelievable but it is true for Shawpon Kumar Chakrabarti, Assistant Headmaster in S K H Institution. The very famous teacher provided nonstop teaching service without taking any leave.
Shawpon Kumar Chakrabarti was born in 1957. He was the eldest son of his family and started his teaching career in S K H Institution after completing secondary education. Later, he got admitted in Rangpur Medical College in 1979. But, his teacher suggested him to concentrate in teaching. Afterward, he joined S K H Institution on October 15, 1979 as an assistant school teacher.
Avoiding any type of leaves, he keeps himself busy with his students and the educational institution. And he became one of the top respectable persons in his locality.
It’s time to take some rest. The hard worker teacher will retire soon. The school authority recently has found that the teacher did not take any leave in 36 years of his teaching career.
School managing committee president Habibur Rahman said, “Shawpon Kumar Chakrabarti is a torch bearer in this locality. He achieved a position in the heart of students due to his sincerity.”
One day, he wanted to be a doctor but now he has no penance as his lots of students have become doctors, scientists, university teachers, and army officers.
