48-hour hartal likely to be announced from Sunday

The BNP and its like-minded opposition parties are likely to announce 48-hour hartal starting from November 12 to press home their one-point demand for resignation of the government, holding election under a non-partisan government and release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

According to several sources of BNP and its like-minded parties, there will be no programmes on Friday (November 10) and Saturday (November 11). Hartal is likely to be announced on Sunday (November 12) and Monday (November 13).

The BNP and its like-minded parties are supposed to announce 48-hour hartal on Thursday (November 9) evening.
