BNP rejects election schedule

The BNP has rejected the election schedule announced by the Election Commission and demanded the next general election under a caretaker government.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the reaction at a virtual press conference on Wednesday night.

Rejecting the election schedule, he warned that the country was now headed towards ‘certain conflict’.

Earlier, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the 12th parliamentary election.
