Jamaat also calls 48-hour hartal

After BNP’s announcement, Jamaat-e-Islami has also called a 48-hour hartal across the country from Sunday (November 19) morning in protest against the schedule for the next parliamentary election announced by the Election Commission (EC).

Acting Secretary General of the party Maulana ATM Masum made the announcement in a statement on Thursday evening.

Earlier, the BNP announced a 48-hour hartal across the country from Sunday (November 19) morning.

On Wednesday, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the next parliamentary election.
