BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed moved to ICU

BNP’s commerce affairs secretary and former lawmaker Salahuddin Ahmed has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
The BNP leader was moved from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) to the ICU around 3:00am on Tuesday (November 21) as his health condition deteriorated.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson’s media wing, confirmed the information.
He said Salahuddin Ahmed was admitted to the CCU of BSMMU at about 11:00am on Monday after he complained of breathing difficulty. He had developed heart failure since 7:00pm on Monday and his blood pressure was fluctuating.
The former BNP lawmaker has been suffering from various ailments, including pneumonia.
Salahuddin’s family members have requested the countrymen to pray for his early recovery.
