AL does not want to put pressure on independent candidates: Quader

The Awami League (AL) does not want to put any pressure on the independent candidates.

General Secretary of the party Obaidul Quader came up with the remark at a press conference at the Awami League president’s political office at Dhanmondi in the capital on Tuesday (December 5).

The press conference was organized marking the meeting of Awami League president and partners of the 14-party alliance.

Obaidul Quader said, “If I pressure an independent candidate to step down, it is the violation of the electoral code of conduct”.
