Mirza Abbas`s graft case verdict deferred again

The verdict against BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas in a case filed for allegedly amassing illegal wealth has been deferred.

The court fixed December 28 for declaring the judgement.

Dhaka Special Judge Court-6 Judge Manjurul Imam set the new date on Tuesday (December 12).

ACC lawyer Mahmud Hossain Jahangir said that father of the judge is sick that’s why verdict is not prepared. The verdict will be announced on December 28.

Earlier, both the prosecution and defence concluded placing of their arguments in the case on November 22 and fixed November 30 for pronouncing the verdict. But on that day, the same court failed to declare the verdict as it was not prepared.
