Committees formed with 8 lakh BCL members for election campaign

The Awami League-backed student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has formed committees with its 8 lakh members across the country in a bid to increase voter turnout and conduct election campaign.

BCL President Saddam Hossain disclosed this while talking to journalists after addressing an election rally for Sunamganj-4 constituency candidate Dr. Mohammad Sadik on Thursday. 

“BCL has taken a comprehensive program to win the boat and elect Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister for the fifth time. Committees have been formed with 8 lakh leaders and workers for 43 thousand polling stations of the country. Divisional and district coordination committees have also been formed. A special team has been formed with well-known faces of Chhatra League who are university students.  BCL teams started campaign from today (December 21), he said.
