BNP-Jamaat’s 48-hour hartal begins

The 48-hour countrywide hartal announced by BNP and Jamaat has begun to drum up support in favour of the non-cooperation movement and boycotting the January 7 elections.

The countrywide hartal begins from 6:00 am on January 6 (Saturday) and will end at 6:00 am on January 8 (Monday).

Earlier on Thursday (January 4) afternoon, the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a virtual press briefing.
