Khaleda Zia set to return home this evening

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is likely to return to her home this evening after 5 months as she is set to be discharged from hospital.

Quoting Khaleda's physician AZM Zahid Hossain, BNP chairperson’s media wing official Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam said madam will be taken home this afternoon as per the recommendation by the medical board.

Khaleda was admitted to Evercare Hospital when she fell sick on August 9, 2023. The BNP chief has been undergoing treatment there since then for various health complications.

The 78-year-old former prime minister has long been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and kidney, lung, heart, and eye issues.
