BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the government is silent on the St Martin’s issue.
The BNP leader came up with the allegation while talking to journalists at a views exchange meeting at his house at Thakurgaon district on Sunday (June 16) afternoon.
“Country’s sovereignty is now under attack. People are being killed in firing from Myanmar, but the government is not saying anything else. This weak and subservient government has cling to power depending on foreign countries. Because of it, the government can't utter a single word. The government should resign on St Martin's Island issue” he said.
