Awami League rally begins

The rally of the ruling Awami League, marking its 75th founding anniversary, began at Bangabandhu Avenue in Gulisthan area of Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.

At present, senior leaders are addressing the rally organized in front of the party’s central office.

Thousands of leaders and activists of its different front and associate bodies participated in the rally.

Humayan Kabir, general secretary of Dhaka City AL’s north unit, is moderating the meeting, with Abu Ahmad Mannafi, president of the unit, in the chair.

Awami League is organising a major programme in the capital for the first time since the last national elections held on 7 January.
