Be prepared to face consequences: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that it is not possible to ensure democracy in the country without Khaleda Zia.  “Release Khaleda Zia or be prepared to face any consequence”.

The BNP leader made the warning while addressing a public rally held in front of the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters on Saturday afternoon.

He demanded of the government to ensure the immediate unconditional release of party’s Chairperson Khaleda Zia, accelerating her advanced treatment abroad.

Earlier in the day, tens of thousands of BNP leaders and activists thronged the party’s Nayapaltan office to join the rally in a bid to ensure the unconditional release of Khaleda Zia.

Leaders and supporters gathered at the party’s central office, marching in processions and chanting slogans.
