Quota movement is logical: GM Quader

Supporting the quota movement, Ghulam Muhammed Quader, leader of the opposition of the Parliament and Chairman of the Jatiyo Party, opined that the quota system in the job is against the constitution.

The JP Chairman made the opinion while addressing reporters at his party office in the capital on Sunday (July 7).

He said that the anti-quota movement is a very logical. Not all people in society like discrimination. Bengalis faced discrimination since the British period. To get rid of the discrimination, even they joined movement against Pakistanis. Pakistanis also created discrimination against Bengalis. Later, we achieved an independent state through the great liberation to escape from discrimination. We had a dream that we would get a country without discrimination. The quota system in employment is against the constitution.

Criticizing the government on the freedom fighter list, Ghulam Muhammed Quader said that the list of freedom fighters that was initially made, has now been increased 3 to 4 times. There are many controversies regarding it.
