BNP leader Shahid Uddin Annie held

Police detained BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie from Elephant Road area in Dhaka on Thursday (July 25).

Quoting Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie’s elder brother Happy Chowdhury, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.

However, the reason behind the detention could not be known immediately.

BNP party sources said that the arrest was made as part of arrest spree across the country over quota movement.
