Police seek 10-day remand for Haji Salim 

Police sought a 10-day remand for Haji Mohammad Salim, a former Awami League lawmaker from the Dhaka-8 constituency in a case filed over the death of a 11th grader, Khalid Hasan Saifullah, during quota reform protests in Dhaka.

Lalbagh police station Sub-inspector Akkas Mia filed the remand plea on Monday (September 2).

The remand hearing will be held at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aktaruzzaman.

Earlier, the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained Haji Mohammad Salim from Bangshal police station area on Sunday night.
