BNP submits its proposals for constitution reform

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has given proposals for the reformation of the constitution of the country to the head of the commission formed over the matter.
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed submitted the proposals to Ali Riaz, the head of the Constitutional Reform Commission around 11:30 am on Tuesday (November 26).
The party sources said that the proposals include balancing the powers of the president and the prime minister, the inclusion of a deputy prime minister post, and a bicameral parliament, among others.
Speaking to reporters, Salahuddin said on behalf of BNP, we have submitted a total of 62 proposals. The proposals were submitted to ensure a balance of power in line with the wishes of the people.
