Don’t take law into your own hands:  Jamaat Ameer 

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman has called upon the countrymen not to take the law into their own hands.

The Jamaat Ameer made the call in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday.

“There is no success in taking the law into our own hands,” he said, urging the people to raise a demand collectively to ensure punishment for those involved in killing, looting, abduction and corruption over the last 15 years through due legal procedures.  

“Several unexpected incidents took place in different parts of the country in the last three days, which cannot be much justified in terms of conscience and sense of responsibility,” he said.

The Jamaat leader urged the government to take pragmatic measures to bring back the money siphoned off during the tenure of the defeated Awami League government.

He also emphasized the need for urgent measures to protect the lives, property, and dignity of the people amid the worsening situation.
