BNP`s extended meeting begins

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has launched its first extended meeting in seven years with recitations from the Quran and a performance of the national anthem.

The meeting began at 11 am on Thursday (February 27) at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Building.

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is likely to participate in the meeting virtually.

The organizers expect about 4,000 leaders and activists, including members of the BNP's National Standing Committee, members of the Chairperson's Advisory Council and Central Executive Committee, presidents, general secretaries or conveners, and member secretaries of all police stations, upazilas, and municipal committees in the city and district, will attend the program.
