Khaleda takes Iftar with orphans, Ulema, Mashaikhs

Staff Correspondent: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, along with senior leaders of the party, took Iftar with orphans and alem-olamas (Islamic scholars) on the first day of Ramadan today.
The iftar party was hosted on her behalf at the Ladies Club in Eskaton. She exchanged pleasantries with the orphan students. A munajat (special prayer) was offered before the Iftar seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and its people.
Nearly 200 orphans from Khilgaon, Shantinagar and Tejgaon area attended the party.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Dr. RA Gani, MK Anwar, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sarker, ASM Hannan Shah, Mirza Abbas, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan and other senior leaders were also present.
At the iftar platform Begum Zia was joined by several alem-olamas including Bangladesh Islami University Chairman Maulana Sayed Kamaluddin Zafree, Principal of Baridhara Madrasa Maulana Nur Hossain Kashemi and others.
