BNP declares to continue peaceful demo

Senior Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the party will continue peaceful demonstration until release of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia.

The BNP stalwart came up with the announcement from a human chain programme held in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Monday noon.

 

Fakhrul said, "Our chairperson asked us to keep patience before landing in jail. She urged party men to remain calm and to continue demonstration peacefully."

"Our agitation will continue until Khaleda Zia gets release," he added.

BNP will observe sit-in programme across the country including Dhaka city on Tuesday and hunger strike on Wednesday.
