'Khaleda staying more days in jail for her lawyers'

Staff Correspondent: Food Minister Qamrul Islam has opined that Khaleda Zia is staying more days in jail due to BNP lawyers.
Qamrul Islam made the opinion while addressing a discussion at National Press club in the capital on Friday.
He said, "BNP lawyers did not appeal to get Khaleda Zia's verdict copy in time. Even, they appealed two days later over Khaleda Zia's division. The release of Khaleda Zia will take time due to their late."
"BNP is trying to get sympathy from the people in name of peaceful movement. But, previous experience said that BNP movement turned into violence anytime," he said.
Meanwhile, Qamrul Islam urged all to stay alert.
Dhaka South Awami League General Secretary Shah-e-Alam Murad, Chairman of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, Dr. Alamgir Moti and others spoke in the programme.
