Discussion will be held in open environment: Quader

Senior Reporter: Welcoming the talks with Dr Kamal Hossain led Jatiya Oikyafront, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that discussion on the seven-point demand and 11 issues will be held in open environment.

As the Prime Minister wants, talks will be in open environment and decisions will be taken on the table.

He said this at a press briefing about the current politics at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said Jatiya Oikyafront can raise their demands and issues at the discussion.

About the topics, the minister said amendment to the constitution, the level playing field and equal rights can be discussed there.

It can be here mentioned that responding to the letter of Gonoforum President Dr Kamal Hossain, the ruling Awami League has invited Jatiya Oikyafront leaders for talks at the Gono Bhaban on November 1.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited Jatiya Oikyafront leaders for dinner and talks at 7.00pm on Thursday at the Gono Bhaban.

On Sunday, the Jatiya Oikyafront, led by Dr Kamal Hossain, sent a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking dialogue over the national election.
